Lifelong Learning Courses 2013/2014


The Adult Learning Unit within the Directorate for Lifelong Learning is once again offering a vast range of courses throughout the academic year 2013-2014 in different evening centres, local councils and NGOs. These courses range from Academic to Information Technology, Literacy, Numeracy, Crafts, Leisure and Creative Arts amongst others. Learners (16+) are invited to browse through the various subjects presented on the website www.lifelonglearning.gov.mt to see what is on offer.
Learners who wish to:
  • improve their academic qualifications;
  • seek employment or improve their chances for a better position at work;
  • be able to help their children in their homework or studies;
  • finish off their secondary or post-secondary education;
  • become computer literate;
  • obtain the ECDL certificate;
  • overcome literacy or numeracy problems;
  • learn a craft;
  • pursue some subjects for pleasure;
  • tap their creative resources through Art, Music or Drama
have the opportunity to do so by applying for any course included in this website. For more information, kindly visit the website or phone on 25982444.  A prospectus with a comprehensive list of courses on offer will be available for free from all Local Councils around the 15th of August. All those interested will be able to apply by the end of August through our website www. lifelonglearning.gov.mt.
All courses start during the first week of October and last till the end of May and are held in the evening in one of our centres:
  1. Blata l-Bajda (girls’ secondary school San Gorg Preca College)
  2. Mosta (boys’ secondary school Zokrija,  Maria Regina College)
  3. Imriehel (girls’ secondary school, Saint Theresa College)
  4. Hal Kirkop (boys’ secondary school, Saint Benedict College)
  5. Gzira (boys’ secondary school , Saint Claire College)
  6. Floriana (primary school, Saint George Preca College)
  7. Rabat Gozo (Higher Secondary School)
We also provide courses at the Msida Lifelong Learning Centre, (next to the Junior College) that is open all day long. Apart from that,  courses in basic Maltese and English (and other languages) are provided throughout Malta and Gozo through the local councils.

  1. Am I right to say that LLL offers a number of courses for school age students. Last summer I attended art lessons with my son. We really enjoyed it. Can you please identify the summer courses that we may promote them with students and encourage them to do something constructive this summer. Moreover my neighbour's children attended drama lessons and music. I think they were offered during the scholastic year.
